How do I make my parents accept and support me?

Ok first. Are they paying for your college at all? Do they support you financially, because all of what I tell you to do can affect that! If they are not, or won't cut you off financially.Try telling them how you feel, and how thier comments affect you. If that doesn't work, and you really want to connect with them, tell them that you want to choose the counselor( do the research , find somone who specializes in this sort of thing) and see if they will go with you, so that you can talk to them in neutral setting. AND...Unfortunately you can't make your parents come around. The best you can do, is tell them, and respect their opinions, and do your part to keep the relationship going. It will take a while.
