Trying to find an actor name help!?

Ok, I don't remember a lot here but will give what details I remember of the character. He is an older male around the 40-50 range. White, dressed in a green beret outfit. During the movie he get's the bridge of his nose cut and wears a bandage. The movie has something to do with zombies or aliens or something like that. He isn't the main character, but more of an annoying character to the main one. He resembles Dennis Hopper quite a bit. Any guesses even would be appriciated as I just can't get my brain to remember what movie or who he is! Thanks.
