What to put in my christmas card?

My godmother and I aren't close but almost every year we exchange christmas cards and she sends me a monetary gift. I just recently got divorced and moved back to my hometown with my son. Do I need to inform her in my christmas card that I am divorced because I didn't include my ex spouse's name in the card?
