I was thinking of getting a tattoo on my lower stomach/back/ribs....?

I have been thinking about getting the Chinese characters for commitment and patience on either my lower stomach (pretty much pelvic area) or on my ribs or my back. I was thinking lower stomach because the commitment and patience characters are symbolic of my journey of celibacy. However, I do plan on having children eventually and would hate to have stretch marks running through my tatts...
